The story of Chitrakoota’s founding is a ‘started humble grown big venture tale’.
In its earliest avatar, soon after it came into being, the school had to function in very modest settings located as it was in a make-shift upper storey of an independent dwelling. As luck would have it, a firm foundation was laid when parents came up and enrolled their children in hundreds in the first year itself.
It was indeed a delightful display of remarkable trust and reassurance for the mission at its very beginning.
The school has never looked back ever since, as, based on this sound footing, the team at Chitrakoota, backing itself, putting heads down, worked gradually towards building the edifice, extending its schooling service from Montessori to CBSE Xth.
Working on its own steam, it has paced its endeavour steadily acquiring, for instance, sufficient open campus spaces at Hampinagar in 2006 for a growing family of students, teachers and faculty . While this is indeed a proud achievement, the close-knit management team at Chitrakoota school has always believed that it is never the count of pupils enrolled but the calibre of education that will create bright, upright members of society and nationalistic citizens.
The growth story of Chitrakoota has its roots in the successful accomplishment of first launching a pre-primary Montessori school which is currently being run at the Hampinagar Campus, spread over a large area, where the Montessori way of learning through play and participation is practised to help fledglings learn to face the world with conviction and self-belief.
On the 5th of April, 2007 saw Chitrakoota reach another milestone. It kicked off one more significant and enterprising venture in the form of the opening of the Montessori Teachers Training Institute.
Six years down the line, on the 9th of June, 2013, Chitrakoota carried out the extension of its standards from Montessori to CBSE Xth, and now all classes are conducted in full flow at its Nagadevanahalli Campus.
